Resistors are put into extremely harsh environments (rail cars, diesel trucks, power generators, etc.) and therefore must be manufactured up to extremely high quality standards. In addition to rigorous internal quality standards and in-house quality control experts, I-Gard is the only power resistor manufacturer certified to ISO 9001:2000, and the only resistor manufacturer to receive the “Canada Award for Business Excellence”.
Our focus on quality and testing is exemplified by our CSA approved test facility that permits I-Gard to develop and verify prototype resistors and relays and is reinforced through our product category certifications.
All of our resistors elements and protective relays are both CSA certified and UL recognized and listed. Additionally most of our relays and assemblies below 1,000 volts carry the CE mark.
